Mary Tabone has over 30 years experience as a vocalist, keyboardist and music director in the performance and direction of music for our Catholic masses and liturgical functions within the Hamilton-Wentworth Catholic Diocese. Her tenure as music director has been evident in many parishes in the past at Sts. Peter and Paul, Annunciation of Our Lord, St. Margaret Mary, Holy Cross and Regina Mundi. Her vast awareness of traditional Sacred Catholic repertoire and her excellent direction as Cantor has provided leadership in daily and weekly masses, funeral services, wedding ceremonies, baptisms, communion celebrations, confirmations and school graduations. Equally skilled as a vocalist and pianist, Mary has provided accompaniment for other singers and instrumentalists as well. Mary’s extensive connection with other working professionals has enabled her to resource out additional services of instrumentals such as flutists, violinists, guitarists and additional singers to ensure incredible musical performances as required for any liturgical service. Mary’s flexible schedule and portable equipment resources has made her a first call for countless parishes in need of music for liturgies such as funeral masses and wedding ceremonies. Mary’s history with the Hamilton-Wentworth Catholic District School Board as Arts Facilitator, a lead member of the Artsaround program and as a teacher with the Artist-in-the-Classroom program has afforded her countless opportunities in the direction of school masses and special occasion liturgies for almost every school in the Hamilton Catholic school board.
